Solo & Ensemble Information
What is Solo & Ensemble? Solo & Ensemble is a non-competitive tradition that gives student musicians the opportunity to perform individually or in small groups for professional music educators. Unlike traditional large concerts, this experience encourages students to take full responsibility for their own musical parts, helping them build independence and confidence.
Primary Goals (per the WSMA):
Improve performance skills through expert assessment and feedback.
Increase understanding of music literature and concepts.
Motivate students to continue their musical journey by establishing a standard of excellence.
