Omro School district has access to the Overdrive Education site, Sora. Below you will find some helpful tips and general questions on how to use Sora. This app allows our students and staff to access eBooks and Audiobooks in school as well as outside the normal school day.
Sora is a student reading app from Overdrive Education. Like Overdrive, Sora is a digital library that lets our students and staff access eBooks and Audiobooks through their laptop, phone or tablet. Sora is made possible by our school district and is available to our staff and students here at Omro.
How can I sign up?
Search for and select "Omro School District" as your library.
You will be asked for a network login and password. Use the same school login as you use to sign into your computer.
You're in! You can check out up to 3 titles at a time.
Accessing Sora via internet browser:
Open your internet browser
Search for “Omro School District"
Login in to the site using your school login
Using the Sora App
Download the app in your device's app store or at https://meet.soraapp.com/
Search for Omro School District and choose it as your library.
Login using your school login.
You will now have access to our collection.
How do I check out a title?
Click on the title you want to borrow and then click the word "Borrow" in blue below the image of the cover. Books with the headphones icon below them are audiobooks, books with the book icon are eBooks.
How do I return a title?
Titles automatically expire at the end of their checkout period and will be removed from your account at that time. Three days before the end of the checkout period, you will be given the option to renew the title. As long as the title is available, you will be able to renew it.
If you want to return a title early and have not yet downloaded it, you will see a 'return' link below the title. Click to return.
What if the title I want is checked out?
Click on the title. There will be an option to put the title on hold and it when it becomes available you will see a red bell notification at the top of the page. Click on that and you will be able to check out the copy.
How do I see what I have checked out?
Click on the shelf icon at the bottom of the page. This will take you to your current checkouts and you can start listening/reading where you left off.
How can I request a title be added to our collection?
You can always email any requests to Mrs. Gee or stop by the library.

Are all books available in both audio and e-book format?
No. You will find some books are in both formats while others only have the eBook version or Audiobook version. Check back because other formats might be added down the road.
Where do I go to change my account settings?
Click on the three lines in the top right corner. From here you can adjust your account preferences, add libraries, or delete devices from your account.
Once you are logged into your Sora account:
Click on the three lines in the upper right hand corner.
Click the blue button that says "Add Library"
Search for the library that issued your library card by name or zip code
Select the correct library and enter your library card number as directed
Once you have added an additional library, Sora will automatically search both collections when you are looking for a book.
