WORLD EMOJI DAY
“Oceans of emotion can be transmitted through a text message, an emoji sequence, and a winking semicolon, but humans are hardwired to respond to visuals.”
-Jenna Wortham
Every year, the World Emoji Day is celebrated in order to appreciate the creation of emojis. The invention of emojis has made having a digital conversation even more fun. So, our K1 learners of Olive Trails RBkIS had an Emoji fashion day where the learners dressed up in different emojis, spoke a few words on it and had a virtual ramp walk during the virtual celebration. All the learners enjoyed doing the activity.
THEME
As K1 learners are learning about weather, the teachers clubbed the theme with internationally minded and asked the learners to do a research on Australian climate, the teachers taught the learners how to check weather conditions and they were excited to do the weather research.
MATH
Number counting is the basic math skill that helps the child to recognize the order of the numbers.Teacher introduced “before and after numbers 0-10”, to the learners using blocks it was a fun and a playful way of learning a new concept.
CURIOUS EXPLORER
Sometimes toys are fun,
Sometimes toys are not fun,
But if I play with my toy car,
It's fun, fun, fun!
K1 Learners of Olive Trails RBIKS drew their favourite toy. This was the day where learners spoke about their favourite toy and were excited to show their toy to their peers and teachers. They developed a sense of sharing & socializing. Learners had a great time playing with their favourite toys and drawing them. The day was full of fun, enjoyment and learning.
PARENT PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
Olive Trails RBKIS organised a Parent Partnership Program on Thursday, 22nd July, 2021. Learners and Parents were excited to visit the school and explore it. It was endearing to see the little learners stepping into the school for the very first time. The learners explored their classrooms and played games along with their peers. They were super excited to visit the Digital Atelier room too. The day was filled with fun and excitement and the learners carried a smile on their faces way back home.
