Parents/Guardians work with the Family Support Coordinator to:
ensure your cellphone number, address, and additional emergency contact person is updated in the Pathways Parent Portal,
obtain a parent / guardian account for your student's online curriculum: TK-5-Accelerate and Grades 6-12 FlexPoint to support your student in completing the weekly classwork,
attend the Teacher Advisor meetings with your student(s),
review OGCS policies and handbooks including the requirement of completing a minimum of 80% of assigned work each week AND working daily in the online curriculum,
support student participation in all required assessments,
access the Local Control Accountability Plan,
participate in the quarterly Advisory Council meetings, and
connect with us on ParentSquare, Facebook, and Instagram.
We value your insights and efforts for ongoing continuous improvement in supporting student academic and personal success here at OGCS. This includes ensuring your student's participation in weekly assigned coursework, periodic assessments, interventions, in-person labs, tutoring, and teacher meetings. Attendance with your student at the weekly Teacher Advisor checklist meetings also helps us work as a team to support your student's success. Your attendance at the quarterly advisory council meetings is also greatly appreciated as this is where our collaborations inform, refine, and grow our entire school program.
