Middle School Music

For Grades 6-8, we focus a lot on music history and expressing ourselves through music. This year, we will explore the world of music history and composers from the Baroque period through the Modern musical period. We will also be exploring the world of dance. From folk dance to waltzing, we will study this music and learn the basic steps of each subject. We will also have the opportunity to use technology in our music classroom. We will be creating our own songs and music videos using website such as Wixie and Finale music. We also get a taste for string instruments with the guitar and Ukulele. Students have the opportunity to be part of our school choir for Masses and will be given other auditioned opportunities throughout the school year.
