Key Timeless Values Successes:
Braver Angels Debate: Working with the nation's largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement, Braver Angels, to establish the Braver Angels Debate at Augustana University. In collaboration with the Office of Faith and Spiritual Life, scheduled for April 13th, this event will create a moderated, structured space for students to engage in civic dialogue, thoughtful disagreement, and strengthen a culture of respectful engagement on campus.
Accessibility: In collaboration with Dr. David Golembowski and Dr. Willette Capers, the establishment of the Augustana University Honor Board. Created to revamp Academic Integrity and establish a transparent, student-led body that strengthens trust, accountability, and community standards within the academic experience.
Organizational Audits: Spearheaded by the ASA treasurer, a comprehensive re-evaluation of ASA’s audit structure to address longstanding vagueness in the by-laws surrounding the purpose, process, and transparency of organizational audits. New reform enhances accountability in the use of student funds, provides a fellowship opportunity in the auditing processes, and ensures the senate can make more informed financial decisions moving forward.
Viking Ventures: Launching February 21st, a continuation of last year's “Viking Ventures Shark Tank,” this initiative focuses on funding student-led projects that create meaningful impact within the Augustana and Sioux Falls communities.
