WELCOME
The Nyawanda–McKeown Strategic Plan began the way many great ideas do: dialogue. Over the past months, we engaged in countless conversations with students, faculty, and staff from across our campus community. We listened to diverse perspectives from every corner of Augustana, from student organizations to campus offices. These discussions gave us a clearer, deeper understanding of who we are as a campus, what our needs are, and where we can grow together.
This plan is not simply a document of goals; it is the product of shared voices, a collaborative vision, and a collective belief in what Augustana can become. Each pillar reflects both what we believe our timeless values to be and our drive to strengthen the Viking community spirit, while also enhancing efficiency in ways that make our campus more accessible, inclusive, and vibrant for all students, faculty, and staff.
We want to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed their ideas, time, and energy to building this plan. To the faculty and staff who offered their expertise, the students who shared critical feedback and creative solutions, and to the many partners across campus who engaged in meaningful dialogue with us, Thank You.
Most importantly, we thank the student body for trusting us with this responsibility. Your confidence in our leadership fuels our commitment to serve you to the best of our ability.
It is our hope that this plan will not only guide the year ahead but also inspire a culture of collaboration and innovation that will endure far beyond our term. Together, we are shaping a stronger Augustana, one shared vision at a time.
ASA President Igen Nyawanda and Vice President Maggie McKeown
