Machina MK II

This workhorse is homegrown—designed and built in Edmonton. With a large build area and a single extruder that uses 1.75mm filament in a variety of materials, this machine is excellent for large jobs. While it does not perform structurally complicated prints, it works fast and provides an excellent amount of detail.

Currently, we have about 22 different materials, including carbon fibre PETG, wood filament, glow-in-the-dark PLA—most in a variety of colors. Examples of some of our most successful projects to date are: topographical replicas of Mount Everest and Dry Island Provincial Park; a planetary gear set used for instructional purposes; the hands on the Giving Tree, and a Warhammer 40,000 gunship for tabletop games.
