Mrs. Strobel was a journalist before she entered the world of nonprofit communications and shared the stories of how family literacy programs changed lives and communities across the nation. Wanting to spread the love of reading and learning in her own community, Mrs. Strobel went back to school to learn how our brains are wired to learn and how to best create and facilitate a classroom community in which all students can succeed, take risks, and find their voices.
Her education journey includes Western Kentucky University, where she learned to share the stories of others; Emerson College (Boston, MA), where she learned to share her own stories; and Bellarmine University, where she learned to help others share their stories.
This is her second year at Oldham County High School. She teaches English III, creative writing, and oversees the wonderful students behind OCHS' Spectrum Literary Magazine.
