Mrs. Vigil's Kindergarten Class

Welcome to Our Lady of the Assumption's Kindergarten Class! We are so excited to have you join us!

Before we jump in, I'd like to tell you a quick story: When my husband and I were first searching for a pediatric dentist, we chose ours partially for something she had said: On her commute to work every morning, she would listen to the latest dental news so she would be knowledgeable of the most current trends and best practices in her field. She wanted to be an expert. And as a teacher, that is something I strive for as well. I spend countless hours outside of the classroom listening to podcasts, reading blogs, attending webinars and workshops, and collaborating with my colleagues because I want to provide your child with the best kindergarten experience possible.

In my classroom, I believe that it is my job to create a fun, play-based environment that is both academically rigorous and challenges students to grow in holiness to become the best versions of themselves possible.

I strongly believe in the Church's position that parents, grandparents, godparents, and other caregivers are my students' first educators, and it is my job to help reinforce and support them in this role. If you ever need any help or ideas on how to challenge your child or reinforce concepts at home, please don't hesitate to ask.

I have an open-door policy and strongly encourage parents/grandparents/and other caregivers to volunteer in our classroom or just drop by to see all of the fun things we are learning. If you would like to help out on a regular basis, please let me know.* We would love to have you join us. :)

Thanks and God Bless!
