empowerOKCPS: Device Program Handbook
If a student violates technology policies, consequences may include, but are not limited to:
Loss of take-home privileges (if applicable).
Restriction or suspension of device access.
Disciplinary action as outlined in the OKCPS Student Code of Conduct.
Legal action for serious or criminal offenses involving misuse of district technology resources.
The district remains committed to providing additional education and support to students who require coaching on responsible technology use.
Take-home access allows students to complete homework, research assignments, and engage in extended learning beyond the school day. This access is a critical tool for digital equity and academic success. However, we recognize that some families may prefer not to have a school-issued device at home. This form allows families to formally opt out of the Take-Home program. By opting out, families acknowledge that their student will not have access to off-campus digital resources provided with a district-issued device.
