Digital Design 2

Module 1

Review: Copyright

Copyright law is important in the Digital Design world because it protects the work you create. It encourages creativity. If Copyright was not a law, people could use your work without asking, or even claim it as their own! Make sure you understand Copyright, Fair Use, and Public Domain:

Some things like phrases and names are not protected by Copyright Law because they are too common. If they are considered identifiable, they can be trademarked!

The Creative Commons is a way that people can share their creative works and allow them to be used under certain conditions.

The recorded lesson is below and you can access the practice files and chapter on Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams.

Here is some more pen tool practice for you! Complete all three digital worksheets, and make sure you are drawing with a red stroke on a separate layer. Turn them in on Google Classroom!

When you finish the Pen Tool worksheets, go to the link below and practice switching between corner and smooth points while playing the Bezier Game! Good luck and have fun!

Your first project is Trace the Character. Use the techniques we learned in the lesson above (Creating an Illustration with the Drawing Tools".
