General Information
DISTRICT MISSION STATEMENT
“Inspiring Each Student for Success Today and Greatness Tomorrow”.
BELIEFS
An effective educational process enables each person to be an enthusiastic life-long learner, to have positive self-esteem, and to accomplish the most they can as an individual. Educational programs guided by high expectations and supported by appropriate resources lead to higher achievement. A major purpose of education is to prepare individuals for responsible citizenship in our society. The community, parents, school, and students share responsibility and accountability for the learning that occurs in each individual.
When students participate in the total school environment, they will:
● value their experience
● commit to their learning
● grow as individuals
● and enhance their environment
Every individual is to be treated with dignity and respect.
Each individual has unique intelligence, talents and needs.
The most profound learning experiences inspire and involve the total person.
Technology is fundamentally changing the educational process.
Educational planning must anticipate, prepare for, and manage change.
RIGHT TO PRIVACY
The Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law which protects the confidentiality of student educational records by guaranteeing parents or eligible students (students 18 years of age or older) rights pertaining to the collection, maintenance, amendment, access, and disclosure of student information. If you want to inspect your child’s records, receive a copy of records, or amend a record, please contact your school principal. Owen J. Roberts Policy 216 presents a more detailed explanation regarding the confidentiality of student records.
EQUAL RIGHTS AND OPPORTUNITIES POLICY

The Board also declares it to be the policy of this district to comply with federal law and regulations under Title IX prohibiting sexual harassment, which is a form of unlawful discrimination on the basis of sex. Such discrimination shall be referred to as Title IX sexual harassment. See Policy 103 for more information. Inquiries regarding the application of Title IX to the District may be referred to the Title IX Coordinator, to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education, or both.

Roberts High to thee we raise Alma Mater, hymn of praise For our teachers, honor due; For our students, tried and true; For our friends within these walls, For these hallowed rooms and halls; Knowledge for each seeking mind; And respect for all mankind.
In times of toil and gladness too, Through all time we'll e'er be true.
Grateful for each fruitful year. We have spent with classmates dear, Cherished memories evermore Till our high school days are o'er Faithful, loyal, always true, We will pledge our trust to you.
