About Us

The Owen J. Roberts High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble is OJR's only competitive musical group and participates in a specialized performance art that combines music, marching, and theater. 

This group performs a carefully choreographed show that includes music, movement, and theatrical elements within a confined, indoor space, typically on a gymnasium floor. The performances are often highly creative and artistic, and they are judged based on criteria like music, visual design, movement, and overall effect.

The OJR Indoor Percussion Ensemble competes within the Mid-Atlantic Percussion Society (MAPS) within PA and NJ and also at the regional and national Winter Guard International (WGI) championships. Their accomplishments include MAPS 2023 regional champions, attended and placed in the top 16 in the national championships in Dayton, OH in 2025, and are fundraising to attend the national championships in Dayton, OH in 2026.

The Owen J. Roberts (OJR) High School Indoor Percussion Ensemble is a subgroup of the overall Marching/Concert Band Organization and under the umbrella of the Owen J. Roberts Music Parents Association (MPO), which is a 501 (3)(c) charitable organization.
