The PRESIDENT oversees the organization and acts as the primary leader and assumes accountability for all activities and relationships. As the president, you can expect to spend time:
● Working with the band directors and other board members to identify and pursue new ways to grow and evolve the organization
● Organizing and presiding over all board and regular membership meetings
● Ensuring and directing effective communications
● Overseeing all committees and activities
● Overseeing all budgeting, fundraising, and financial matters
● Overseeing general leadership and issue resolution
● Maintaining and facilitating communications with district band staff and administration
● In collaboration with the board, acting as the final decision-maker for issues regarding the organization’s well-being and growth
● Maintaining bylaws and helping to ensure they are being followed
