Digital Citizenship

Minimum Requirement: Each K-12 student will receive digital citizenship instruction.

*Recommended: Each K-2 create a group reflection guided by and modeled by a teacher.

*Recommended: 3-12 student independently create a reflection of what they have learned.

*The recommended activities will help ensure that all students are exposed to KAS Writing Composition Standard #4 . Teachers will need to design tasks that meet their own grade level's requirements for standard #4.

Digital Portfolio

3rd - 5th Grade

Starting in grade 3, students will begin collecting digital evidence related to their exposure to college and career readiness (CCR) education.

Folder permissions need to be adjusted on a yearly basis. When sharing with those outside of the Ohio County School district, share only view rights. In addition to sharing with parents and teachers, all ILP folders should also be shared with ilp@ohio.kyschools.usHigh School seniors should create a personal Google account to share with. Once shared, all content can be copied if student wishes to access digital portfolio content beyond high school.

6th Grade

6th Grade students need to look at the steps detailed above in the earlier grade levels before proceeding.

All 6th grade students will complete a career interest survey. Results of the survey should be uploaded into the student's ILP folder. 6th grade students will also create a Google Site to organize evidence collected during grades 3-6. Submit your portfolio prior to the end of the current school year, or as instructed by your school.

You will need to publish for any changes you make to go live.When publishing, only allow "specific people" to view the site.

7th Grade

7th Grade students need to look at the steps detailed above in the earlier grade levels before proceeding.

Students will continue collecting evidence and adding to their Google Site/Digital Portfolio

Submit your portfolio prior to the end of the current school year, or as instructed by your school.

8th Grade

8th Grade students need to look at the steps detailed above in the earlier grade levels before proceeding.

In addition to continuing to collect evidence, students will complete an additional career interest survey. Students will set learning goals based on career and academic interests. Submit your portfolio prior to the end of the current school year, or as instructed by your school.

9th - 12th Grade

High School students need to look at the steps detailed above in the earlier grade levels before proceeding.

Students will continue collecting evidence related to CCR. Students will increase their focus on career exploration, post secondary education/training needs, and financial planning for postsecondary education. The digital portfolio can be utilized to store anything related to the student's interest and his/her plans following graduation. If a student is interested in photography as a possible career, then his/her ILP should include the visual evidence.
