Music Man Field Trip

Hello Parents,

We have an exciting opportunity! This spring, we are fortunate to have “The Music Man” being performed right here at the Marriott Lincolnshire Theatre. Last spring the Symphonic Band performed “76 Trombones” from the show as our concert closer, so we felt this could be a fun opportunity to connect that performance with the full show.

Written by Meredith Wilson, these catchy tunes, witty dialogue, and memorable characters are sure to spark laughter and memories for all. In its original run in 1957, the show became a hit on Broadway, winning five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and running for 1,375 performances. The cast album won the first-ever Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

Our goal is to bring your children meaningful experiences through music and performance. We have a block of 95 seats available to us for the show on Wednesday, May 15. The performance starts at 1:00 p.m. and runs roughly two and a half hours with intermission. Afterward, we will be bussed back to Oak Grove between 4:00-4:30 p.m.
