Band, 7th Grade Guitar

Mr. Jones joined Oak Grove School in August of 1996. Mr. Jones earned his Bachelors of Music Education degree from Illinois State University in 1994 and his Masters of Music Education degree from the VanderCook College of Music in 1998. Over the years, Mr. Jones has worked at OGS as a band director, general music teacher, and technology facilitator/trainer. Mr. Jones currently performs in the Waukegan Symphony Orchestra and various performing organizations in the county. Band, 3rd and 4th Grade General Music

Mr. Frankowski started at Oak Grove School in August of 2020. He currently teaches 3rd grade general music, 4th grade general music and 5th-8th grade students in the Oak Grove Bands. He earned his Bachelors of Music Education degree from Northern Michigan University in 2017 before returning home to Lake County. After teaching choir, guitar and directing the school plays in Lake Villa, Illinois, Mr. Frankowski brought his passion for music to Oak Grove! Some of his favorite memories include performing in the Disney World Light Parade with his high school marching band, touring around Finland with the Marquette City Band (Michigan) and playing with local groups such as the Deerfield and Buffalo Grove Community Bands.
