Science

We use the PLTW program for science. The official PLTW unit overview are below.  

Unit 1: the Universe.

Students learn about the movement and characteristics of objects in the sky. 

Unit 2: Ecosystems.

Students learn that energy is when living things eat. They contruct food webs and create a project to show how an ecosystem is being affected by humans.

Unit 3: the Water Cycle. 

Students learn about the importance of water and conduct a project to clean water. 

Unit 4: Robotics. 

This unit is new this year. Students will use VEX kits to build and code robots to complete tasks. We will also be starting an afterschool club to build competitive robots (as soon as we can, we are waiting for parts!).
