Many students believe that they cannot afford college; however, there are many resources available to help pay for school.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid is for students who are US citizens or eligible non-citizens
Students should create an FSA ID in order to log into FAFSA.
Once students complete their FAFSA, a Student Aid Report (SAR) will be sent to their email
The FAFSA should be submitted every year in order to qualify for financial aid
The California Dream Act Application is for students who are undocumented
While undocumented students are not eligible for federal aid, they are eligible for California aid
Dreamers should: complete a California Dream Act Application, not the FAFSA to apply for Cal Grants and other state aid
Check with colleges and universities to see if institutional financial aid is available
To be eligible for a Cal Grant, the students must:
Be a U.S. citizen, or eligible non-citizen
Be a California resident
Attend an eligible, accredited California college or university at least half-time
Students who qualify for in-state tuition under the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) are considered to have satisfied Cal Grant residency requirements
