K-12 Utah’s Online School Library UOSL is a rich collection of digital resources provided for K-12 students and educators in the state of Utah. It provides access to subscription databases and services such as eMedia, Culturegrams, Digital Science Online, Gale, Scrible, Soundzabound, Utah Digital Newspapers, and World Book Encyclopedia.
All links have been vetted for credibility and safety for K-12 students – and it’s FREE!
NEW in 2024 on UOSL: SORA - a free app and website that allows K-12 students to borrow eBooks and audiobooks from their school's Sora library. Sora is available on tablets, desktops, chromebooks/laptops and personal mobile devices. SORA currently includes over 4,000 titles in the Sora eBook Utah K-12 Curriculum Library. This new collection is available to all Utah K-12 schools free of charge.
To use the K-12 Utah’s Online School Library, click on the icon above, then login using the student login with the username and password. Each school year a new password is needed for access. Contact the librarian for those: library@odysseycharter.net.
RELATED RESOURCE: Your local library’s website will have a link to Utah’s Online Library that give you access to OTHER resources such as “OverDrive” – where you can find thousands of additional ebooks and audio books available for free checkout. Access that with your current city library card number.
Bookflix is a website with animated stories that bring eBooks to life. It has over 120 animated books filled with adventure, music, and interactive games. The AF Library wants ALL students to be able to access the program even if they didn’t have an American Fork Library card. You can access the resource on the AF Library website, https://www.americanfork.gov/203/Library, go to the Children’s Programs tab, then click on the BookFlix image. It should take you to a login page. The username and password are both afl1 - all lowercase. Check it out today!
