Project Objectives
Displaying 12 different messages that represent unique and interesting facts on a LCD display using serial communication via a 74595 shift register with a different key press on the 4 x 4 keypad .
The PIC16F877A microcontroller is connected to the 74595 shift register and the keypad interface .
The shift register is connected to the LCD interface.
The shift register portrays itself as an extra I/O pin that connects the LCD interface it is used for data transfer and data manipulation.
With each key press of the keypad a different message will display on the LCD.
