It defines computer science and gives guidance on how to successfully integrate. Included are opportunities for integration in language arts, history, math, and science.

Description: A curriculum for every classroom! Google CS First is a free computer science curriculum that makes coding easy to teach and fun to learn. Using the Scratch programming languages the curriculum includes modules like Code Your Hero, Interactive Presentations and Game Design. The materials include support for integrating the lessons into core instruction.

Description: Need a way to add coding or STEM to your elementary school? Not sure of how to add coding to content you already have to teach? I asked myself these same questions before I created a STEM cart for teachers to use at my school. We use Makey Makeys, Ozobots, Dash Robots, and Code & Go Robot Mice to get all grade levels in our K-5 school to learn how to code with the curriculum. These products have engaged students with math, science, social studies, writing, spelling, and reading while learning the foundations of coding. Teaching coding with the content in the elementary classroom can prepare students for future computer science jobs that they will need for the future.
