Most people have no idea when their personal data has been compromised and by the time they find out, the damage is already done. BreachWatch was built to close that gap.
Data breaches are one of the most pervasive cybersecurity threats that everyday consumers face and on top of that, unaware. A successful breach can result in financial loss, identity theft, and years of personal damage, and most people don't realize it until it is too late. The average person has no real-time way of knowing when a platform they used has been compromised and what they should do about it.
Everyone deserves to feel safe online, and BreachWatch is developed to make that possible. Our solution monitors services that users already visit, to gather valuable threat intelligence insights and personalized action plans for users. With BreachWatch, anyone can take control of their digital safety without needing to be a cybersecurity expert.
The premise of BreathWatch is driven by empathy and inclusivity. By centering our design thinking process on the everyday consumer, we were able to build a solution that meets people at any cybersecurity level, delivering real-time breach awareness and actionable guidance in a way anyone can understand and act on.
To understand the impact of data breaches, our team spoke to various people with differing cybersecurity backgrounds and experience. By especially stepping into the experience of those who didn't have experience, our team realized how much of a problem the combination of data breaches, lack of awareness, and lack of knowledge of what to do was prevalent. These conversations motivated our team to shape a design that solves these gaps.
