Dr Raphaël Saban
I have been a software engineering for 18 years, driven by my personal desire to doing more, better, and to the benefit of more people.
I have a real need to create and I best fulfill it when building new software solutions. I have post-graduated master's degrees in computer science, applied mathematics and artificial intelligence.
My main positions have been in the IT for airline travel business. Over one third of the 4.3 billion passengers in 2018 are expected to run my pieces of software.
As a developer, I have always enjoyed bringing more automation, quality and simplicity in my work. While gaining expertise in processes, I have measured the greater value of it: boost the whole team efficiency, enable new practices and, somehow more importantly, increase happiness at work.
That’s why I have pushed my skills up to being a full stack developer.
As a team member or manager, I have been excited by developing soft skills. Getting into Agile mindset (LEAN, Scrum, Kanban) was a natural move. I really enjoy international collaborations with teams around the world, all committed to deliver.
As a full stack freelancer, I am naturally widening the range of IT products I can create from process-driven products (historical computer science) to data-driven products (applied data science). Big data and machine learning solutions have the potential for strategic value.
I have lately moved to Mexico. My wife is Mexican and hence my children. I benefit from this international mobility threefold: I develop my own IT projects, learn Mexican culture (and more generally Latin American culture) and work on data-driven products.
