Hi there.
When I was younger I studied Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), but only during my social service I did do some veterinarian management and clinic.
My academic development has been rather in scientific research in two modalities: first, at the Institute of Biotechnology-UNAM to obtain my scholarship degree. I investigated the neutralizing effectiveness of immunoglobulins from hyperimmune horse serum on the toxic component (a recombinant sphingomyelinase D) of the venom of fiddler spiders. Second, when I decided to turn around my original academic training and did a master's degree at the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos (UAEM), in the field of arts and literature. I analyzed a phenomenon called intermediallity between an opera, a film, and a novel. The first two art works were created by the Mexican artists, Dr Julio Estrada and Dir Carlos Velo, respectively, and were inspired on the written and iconic novel Pedro Paramo (1955) of the renowed Mexican writer Juan Rulfo (1917-1986).
Surprisingly, these two investigations in those equidistant fields of knowledge turned out to be very similar, but that’s a complex and long story to explain. Now, I collaborate at Octoma as a systematic reviewer of clinical and other studies related to Public Health.
My hobbies include crafts such as cooking, sewing and embroidery and watercolor illustration, as well as reading and writing funny stories.
