Stepping Into Leadership
Throughout your high school years, and during your SHSM certifications and training opportunities, you will have many opportunities to develop the skills needed to grow into leadership.
There are leadership opportunities all around you; at school, in your work placement, in the community or perhaps away from home at a leadership training camp. A quick Google search brings up ample online tools, videos, articles and training programs that are designed for students just like you!

Self-Leadership & Self-Reflection
Great leadership starts by emulating the characteristics of a great leader yourself. This requires personal self-discipline and motivation to become the leader you want to be, to be the kind of person that people will want to follow.
Self-reflection is also an ongoing process for a leader; showing humility and knowing you are also on a journey of growth.
