Happy October! School has really been coming along. We're so proud of all of our Albany students for the hardwork and determination they've demonstrated as the school year goes on.

Last month we introduced a little friendly competition with PACK Wars! Homerooms competed in games tied to our school values: Perseverance. Accountability. Courage. Knowledge. The winning homeroom got to choose one of the following prizes:

First in line at lunch
Extra recess period

Please congratulate 6th grade for their success! They really showed up the Albany team spirit!

We had a great visit from the Albany Fire Department last week! They came and covered fire safety and explained how all their gear works. The kids had a blast!

The 8th graders got to visit CCV and learned a lot about college and career opportunities and even came home with some CCV swag.

A letter from Dr. Harryman

Hello, Albany Families!

I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to those I haven't had the opportunity to meet. I am Dr. Erica Harryman, the Director of Learning and Instruction for Orleans Central Supervisory Union, and I am currently helping provide administrative coverage at Albany Community School while Principal Thomas is away.

I know that changes can sometimes bring uncertainty, especially when they happen unexpectedly. I want to reassure you that our focus remains on providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive learning environment where every student feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed.

I've appreciated the warm welcome I've received from students and staff, and I'm grateful for the dedication of the Albany team. I look forward to continuing to get to know our students and families during my time here.
