S3.A1.1

1. What is Alphabet photography

Alphabet photography is where you find shapes around the world, which resemble letters. When you have all the letters to spell a word, you place them together. A popular technique used in this art is to make the photo black and white.

2. Where and by who was alphabet photography introduced.

Alphabet photography was introduced by a Canadian Photographer, Jennifer Blakeley.

3. What inspired alphabet photography.

The inspiration for alphabet photography is the customization that is offered through the lens. It is able to be made unique to the photographer, such as their name.

4. What photographic effect is used in alphabet photography.

I think a messy, abstract type of effect is used in alphabet photography. I think also a huge creative effect is used as well, as finding a branch in the shave of a w would be very hard to find, and placing the stick in a specific way to get the photo.

5. What aspects of Alphabet Photography do your like or dislike? Explain why.

I don't really like it because it looks sort of messy, but thats just my opinion.

For these assignments, I wanted to be as creative as I possibly could. For my name, I decided to go with my mom's last name because it was easier to do honestly. Looking around the school was pretty hard to do to find all the letters in my name. For instance, the letter r in my name was so hard to find. I eventually found a door handle and thought it could work. In addition, I did find the door springs to work well for the letter N, but other than that there were not many good options. I had to resort to drawing an N in the snow.

S3.A1.5

1. What part of your finished project did you find most successful and why?

I found my name to be really successful, and think it looks really good.

2. What part of your finished project did you find least successful and why?

Finding the N in TRISTAN!

3. If you had to do this project again, what part would you change or improve on and why?

I wouldn't. I didn't really like this assignment, and found it boring and useless.
