SEPTEMBER 19, 2025
DEAR ALL SAINTS FAMILIES,
As we conclude our third week, we are officially in the full swing of the school year. It has been a truly fantastic start, and the students' energy and enthusiasm are palpable throughout the classrooms and hallways.
This week, we held our first Catholic School Council meeting, and I would like to thank everyone who was able to attend. As a School Council member, you contribute to the education of students in our school. Strong education requires partnerships involving parents, students, teachers, principals, educational assistants, office staff, school boards, government, and the community. When you are involved on the council, you are part of a team working to support high-quality education for our children. Your participation will make a difference. Below you will find the elected members of the 2025/26 council as well as information about how you can join us next month.
IN THIS UPDATE:
At the end of each month, we compile and review attendance data for all nearly 2000 students at All Saints. A personalized summary of lates and absences will be emailed to guardians and parents in the days following, providing an up-to-date overview of attendance status.
Attendance Status Categories:
Perfect: 0% missed!
Good: Less than 5%
Concerning: 5% to 9.9%
High: 10% to 19.9%
Chronic: 20% or more
It is important to remember that attendance status can change. It is easy at this time of year to improve attendance, so this early intervention is key for students who are experiencing difficulty. It is also a great time to celebrate students with perfect attendance! We are happy to see so many students in the school with perfect attendance so far. Keep it up!
Lastly, please remember that parents are asked to email or call the school with information regarding absences, lates, sign out or sign in information prior to the absence. Students are required to sign out in the main office if they are leaving school early.

The vaccination clinic will take place for grade 7 students on September 29 and October 1 to 3. Vaccine consent forms will be sent home with grade 7 students next week and should be returned on September 29.
On the day of the school clinic, your child should:
Eat a good breakfast
Bring an extra juice or snack to school.
Wear short sleeves or a loose shirt so that the upper arm can be exposed easily, without undressing.

The Terry Fox Day for grades 7 and 8 is coming up! It will take place on Friday, September 26, during periods 4-6.
During Period 4, students have the option to watch a documentary about Terry Fox's incredible life. After lunch, we will head outside. Those who are able will circulate the course which is the perimeter of our school property.
We encourage students to come to school that day in comfortable clothes and shoes with a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat if the weather is warm. To add to the fun, we will be awarding a prize to the homeroom with the most spirit. Classes can choose a theme or simply wear fun socks in honor of Terry Fox.
We are also holding a School Cash Online fundraiser from Monday, September 15 to Saturday, September 27. Donations of any amount are welcome and can be made online. The rain date for this event is October 3.
We can't wait to have a fun and meaningful day together to support a great cause!
