Before we begin, you need to decide what you would like to build. Although you think you might know, thinking through several ideas is a good step. You can do it on blank white paper and then take a picture if you want.
If you are deciding to be in a group with someone, that is OK. You can produce the 2 ideas together. Remember that you each have to to the submission. The other student will just submit the name of the other person in their group.
You are to sketch out (just rough on a piece of paper) two (2) ideas of something that you would like to build. See the image below as an example. For each one include the following:
Title
Group
the sketch (with dimensions in mm)
what it will do (1 or 2 sentences)
a list of the 3 components that I am looking for: (if you are choosing not 10 have all 3 that it OK, just understand the mark will be lower)
Hardware (most likely the Micro:Bit and the Robot:Bit)
Software (controlling the Micro:Bit)
Design (something that you will design and get 3D printed)
Example:
Title: Raspberry Pi GameBoys
Group: I am a group of 1
Sketch: see below
What it will do: You will be able to play Nintendo NEW games on the handheld GameBoy, but on a larger color screen
3 Components:
Hardware: I will be making a perf board for the controllers and sending that as a USB keyboard to the Raspberry Pi. I will also wire up all the electrical
Software: I will write the software to turn the button presses into keypresses
Design: I will design and print out on the 3D printer the enclosure
