A total of 40 hours of community service are required to earn a high school diploma.
Grade 8 students going into grade 9 may collect hours in the summer prior to beginning grade 9.
Please refer to the list of eligible activities on the reverse of the Community Service Hours form to ensure the hours completed qualify to meet the graduation requirement. If you are having difficulties finding volunteer opportunities or unsure if an activity is eligible for community service hours, contact your guidance counsellor.
