Welcome to St. Patrick's High School

Program Information

Welcome!

Welcome to the Home of the Irish!  We are excited to share all of the incredible opportunities we have to offer you. As you browse this site, you will find information about program choices, academic pathways and specialized classes. We also invite you to visit our St. Patrick's High School website for more general information about the school.

We are thrilled to welcome new students to the St. Patrick's Irish Family. Whether you are joining us from one of our elementary schools as a new grade 7 student or just moving into the area, we hope that St. Pat's quickly becomes your new home.  Our school is rich in history and tradition and we look forward to making you a part of our story.

Enjoy exploring our school! We look forward to meeting you in person.

How to use this website

We have created this website as a collection of valuable information about the programs, courses and opportunities that we have at St. Patrick's High School. You will find descriptions, explanations, pictures, videos, slide presentations, charts and links to other helpful resources. We hope that you explore everything that St. Pat's has to offer.

On the Home Page, you will learn about our school - our history, our uniform, chaplaincy, student support (including Guidance, Resource, ELL) and start the registration process. We are excited to have a 3D tour of our school as well. We LOVE our school and our Irish Family. We hope that you will learn what St. Pat's is all about.

The Intermediate Page is the stop for information for our grade 7/8 students. You can check out a sample student timetable and see pictures from our 7/8 classes. We have special information just for our new grade 7 students as well as an opportunity to learn about Sports, Music and Extra-curricular activities. There is also some information about Resource support in our grade 7/8 panel. We encourage our grade 7/8 students to also check out the High School Page to see what is in store for your future!

When you visit the High School Page begin with the presentations that give you the requirements towards earning your high school diploma. Then, check out each department page where you will find the department pathway along with courses that are highlighted (some are NEW for next year). In addition, you can view our three Specialist High Skills Major programs that we are very proud to offer at St. Pat's. It is also important that you watch the myBluePrint Instructional Video for your grade to help get started. You can then link to myBluePrint, where you can make your course selections. Please remember that your course selections are due by
Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

The final page is our FAQ. If you have a question, you are welcome to fill out the form. Where possible, responses will be collated and posted from time to time, so please take a look through those for answers to common questions. Of course, you are always welcome to check with a guidance counselor, department head, curriculum leader or your teacher for more information, advice and suggestions.

St. Patrick's High School is proudly one of the oldest high schools in Ottawa. Our rich history is our legacy and we are recognized in the region by our accomplishments and by our uniform. Read more about what makes St. Patrick's High School the incredible home that it is.
