Rock, Paper, Scissors

The game we have all played!

I am sure you must have played the game “Rock, paper, scissor” when you were younger (or maybe you still play!). It is a great way to determine if you or somebody else should do some job.

Here is the problem

Create a program that will allow the user to play “Rock, paper, scissor” with the computer. The user will choose what one they want to select (rock, paper or scissors). The computer then “randomly” chooses one (use random numbers!). The program will then see who wins or is it a tie. Check the link above to see the rules about who wins

Two part assignment

This is a 2 week assignment:

• Week 1 hand in DESIGN ONLY
  • Top-down, Flow-chart (but not pseudo-code) and test cases (make sure you cover every possibility this time!)
• Week 2 hand in EVERYTHING ELSE
  • plus the stuff from part a

Things to note

• If you are not sure on any part of the problem, just ask me and I will give you additional information
• You must do the program in Java first (get a 3+). You can get a 4+ by doing the program in another programming language

• Ensure you work through (in order):
  • Top-down
  • Flow-chart
  • Test cases
  • Final, debugged, commented code
  • Screen shots proving test cases are correct
• Remember to think, Input – Process – Output, when designing your program
• Ensure you follow the "Hand in Process"
