County Wide Resource Guides
The purpose of this guide and how to use it:
The creation of this guide is meant to serve several purposes to better help school districts building upon their Community Schools Framework within our OCM BOCES Co-Ser:
Centralized Information: It provides a centralized location for information about resources available within the OCM region. This includes educational programs, after-school activities, health services, counseling services, food assistance programs, recreational opportunities, and more.
It is broken down by need (such as mental health services or housing support) for easy to find information. Each section of this document is broken down into three parts: The “What”, The “Why”, and The “Who”. The “What” are examples of activities and workshops that could take place. The “Why” is the reason behind the need. The “Who” are the partners and organizations OCM BOCES either has already worked with or currently has relationships with (list it not exhaustive) that could help meet this need
Promotion of Equity: By providing information about the wide range of services and resources, the OCM resource guide can help promote equity by ensuring that all members of the community have access to the support they need to thrive, regardless of their socioeconomic status or background.
