Star Progression Data

Proficiency is clear 786 or higher by the end of the year.

Student progress is being tracked. The line represents how many students are proficient.

7th grade

Stars are used to track the data to show where students are falling at 4 points throughout the year.

Step 4: Mission Statement

Created by us, for us

Mission is specific sets clear expectations for instruction, group and individual work time, and reading time.

Student created and ownership with student signatures.

7th Grade

"This board is the hub of our class CCI cycles. It houses our mission statement and year-long STAR goal and results. In the middle, we have the PDSA cycle.

The PLAN is discussed every day in class.

DO has the 1-2 strategies that will really help learners meet their learning goal.

STUDY has the most recent and past data.

ACT becomes a class discussion and is displayed elsewhere in the room."

Steps 5-8: PDSA

6th Grade - DO

Multiple ways students can use strategies to support their learning. Different organizers can help students plan their writing.

Arrows used to indicate strategies currently being used in the PDSA cycle as well as new strategies that are introduced to students.

7th grade

PDSA Cycle is posted for students. Strategies under "do" are large with visuals for students to understand.
