Is this a fully remote job?

Yes, it is. You can work from the comfort of your home and thrive in an environment that is familiar to you.

Do I have to be based in Sri Lanka?

We currently only hire candidates who are based in Sri Lanka.

Can I pick my own client?

Unfortunately not, but we take match-making very seriously and are passionate about your long-term growth. We consider your skills, expertise, and areas of interest to ensure the best possible fit.

Will I be given a laptop?

Yes, we will provide a laptop.

What hours will I work?

At Oceans, your work is divided into synchronous (sync) and asynchronous (async) hours:

• Sync Hours (~5 hours): These hours overlap with your client’s time zone - such as PST, EST, MST, CST, or GMT. You’ll use this time for meetings, collaboration, and real-time project work.

• Async Hours (~3 hours): These hours are flexible and can be completed during your local IST workday. This is when you focus on independent tasks, research, and preparation.

This structure ensures you stay connected with your client while also having dedicated time to focus and manage your own schedule effectively.

Do I get paid in USD?

Yes, we offer above-market compensation packages paid in USD.

Are there any part-time gigs at Oceans?

No, we only have full-time positions.

Am I allowed to have a side hustle while being at Oceans?

You should inform the Oceans team, even during your interview process, about your side hustle. However, if it demands significant effort, we don't recommend it, as your Oceans role requires a high level of commitment to ensure success.
