The gifted and talented program in Oceanport School District is designed for “those students who possess or demonstrate high levels of ability, in one or more content areas, when compared to their chronological peers in the local district and who require modification of their educational program if they are to achieve in accordance with their capabilities." The program provides additional and appropriate opportunities to meet the needs of these students.

The gifted and talented curriculum is interdisciplinary and can be found on the district website. The program curriculum aligns to the K to Grade 8 gifted programming standards developed by the National Association for Gifted Children.
