Life ain't no smooth sailing on the ocean

Well, friend, I’ll tell you:

Life for me ain't been no smooth sailing on the ocean.

It’s had 10 foot waves,

And sharks,

And crazy windy thunderstorms,

And your boat collapsing,

Scary...

I’ve been getting back on the boat.

And dusting myself off.

And facing the problems face to face.

And sometimes even riding right over those waves.

Where it ain’t safe.

So friend don’t turn back,

Don’t you sail away --

Don’t you get scared now,

For I ain’t scared friend,

I’m still sailing,

And life for me still ain’t no smooth sailing on the ocean.
