Our personal fitness courses are offered in grade 9, 10, 11 and 12, covering the following areas of study:

Each year, we build upon fitness training principles, continue to develop methods for improving and maintaining personal fitness, and allow for a deeper investigation of fitness health theory.
Course options:
Grade 9: PAF1O
Grade 10: PAF2O (and PAF2OP); no prerequisites
Grade 11: PAF3O (and PAF3OP); no prerequisites
Grade 12: PAF4O (and PAF4OP); no prerequisites
*Personal Fitness courses are non-gendered or P- girls only
These courses focuses on the development of a personalized approach to healthy active living through participation in a variety of enjoyable fitness related activities. This course will emphasize personal fitness through weight training, cross training and cardiorespiratory training. Students will be encouraged to develop personal fitness plans and take actions to meet their defined goals. In addition they will be given opportunities to refine their decision making and interpersonal skills in order to enhance their mental health and personal safety.
