Below are games your child can use to practice reading simple words.
Below are simple books your child can listen to and then practice reading each book independently. While doing so he/she can turn the sound off and pause the story to allow more time to read each page.
Writing
Voila le printemps.
Step 1: Your child can listen and watch the story Voila le printemps!
Step 2: listen and watch Madam Kristine talk about signs of Spring.
Step 3: write their own story about spring here. .
Speaking
Parents, you can download the apps Chatterpix, Draw and Tell and/or Sock Puppet. Explain to your child that these will be French Speaking apps only. Students can record themselves speaking French, reading a book in French or talking to someone in their family in French (even their pet!). Most students have used these already in school and are familiar with the expectations. Have fun!
