Both of our kindergarten classes are large sized, with several windows to provide natural light. They are both equipped with child size sinks, a bathroom (toilet and sink), and a door that connects to the fenced kinder yard. Our cubbies are attached to our classrooms, accessible by a connecting door. This design allows for seamless transitions between the indoor and outdoor learning environments.

At Hilson, we value the importance of learning in the outdoors and are fortunate to have a kindergarten yard as well as use of an outdoor classroom. Learning in the outdoors is included as part of the instructional day. Our educators play an active role engaging with children in an inquiry stance as they play, explore, and learn together outdoors.
