Are there TOO MANY solutions out there? What's worth investigating, let alone recommending or obliging your students to use?
Feel free to leave your comments!
The OCDSB Chromebook Support website lists solutions for chromebook / chrome browser users - many of those have been ported onto the pages of our website
Suggested Solutions worth investigating
To support our Educators with the training and support required to work with these supported platforms, Business and Learning Technologies has created the following WebSite:
OCDSB Learns at Home: https://sites.google.com/ocdsb.ca/ocdsblearns
Our team will be providing two models of support in order to offer Educators choice and personalization of their professional learning with these supported platforms:
Synchronous Learning Model: Educator Workshops
* Workshops start Wednesday (tomorrow) sign up on the site. *
These introductory workshops will be most appropriate for educators who prefer to have an instructor alongside them as they do their learning. Class sizes are small, to ensure that instructors are able to offer individualized support. Following the introductory workshop, educators can extend their learning using the teaching OCDSB Learns at Home: Asynchronous Learning Model resources, or by requesting individual support by submitting a Service Request to https://heat.ocdsb.ca/HEAT.
Asynchronous Learning Model: Resource Documents and Video Tutorials
* Links to video and document tutorials *
These resources will be most appropriate for educators who prefer to engage in personalized professional learning. Educators will have the ability to learn about a variety of tools to support online learning by selecting from resource documents and video tutorials created by the B< Academic & Training Team. Educators will have the ability to select the topics and the learning platform of their choice, and can engage in learning at their own pace, and timing. Educators who have additional questions can requesting individual support by submitting a Service Request to https://heat.ocdsb.ca/HEAT
