Local 93 Carpenters Union - School Within a Trade (SWAT)
The Enhanced Construction Program, a partnership between the OCDSB and Local 93 Carpenters Union, offers Grade 12 students interested in a career in carpentry hands-on, intensive training and paid co-op placements. This initiative allows students to gain practical skills and authentic industry experience while connected to an apprenticeship.

School Within Future and Innovative Technologies (SWIFT) Enhanced Engineering Design Program
The Enhanced Engineering Design Program provides Grade 11 and 12 students with an immersive, high-tech environment focused on the engineering design process. This one-semester program is designed for students who want to explore the intersection of software, hardware, and manufacturing to solve complex technical challenges connected with industry partners.

School Within a University (SWAU) - University Dual Credit
The School Within a University (SWAU) program is a unique partnership with Carleton University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences and its Enriched Support Program. SWAU is designed to empower Grade 11 and 12 students, who may not have previously considered post-secondary education, to explore a university pathway and see if it aligns with their goals. SWAU is specifically designed to support first-generation university hopefuls, Multilingual Learners, students with identified learning needs, and those from Black, Indigenous, and other historically underserved communities. This unique one-day-per-week program supports students to earn both first-year university credit and a related university preparation high school credit upon successful completion.

IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Electrical Union - Cooperative Education Program
IBEW co-op programs offer students a valuable opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in the electrical trade while accumulating apprenticeship hours, working alongside experienced electricians on real job sites. These program provide a pathway to full IBEW apprenticeships, combining classroom learning with industry-leading training. Eligible students will typically have previous work experience in an electrical field, through co-operative education in their grade 11 year, or in the first semester of grade 12. Limited spots available across the district.

National Capital Region Army Reserve Cooperative Education Program
This Co-op program is a joint undertaking between the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board and the 33 Canadian Brigade Group. The aim of this Military Co-op program is to introduce OCDSB youth to career opportunities in the Armed Forces and Army Reserves. Limited spots available across the district.
