Founded as the Oberlin School Band Boosters, the Oberlin Music & Arts Boosters has supported the interests of the band program in Oberlin City Schools through acts of time, talent, and treasure. Recently, the booster club expanded to support the interests of all music and visual arts programs throughout the district. The booster program is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which raises money and garners volunteer hours to support our music and visual arts programs. All parents and legal guardians of actively participating students are granted automatic membership upon their student's enrollment in an Oberlin City Schools music or visual arts course. Any person interested in the advancement of the Oberlin Music & Arts programs is welcome to become a participant of the booster program.
The Oberlin Music & Arts Boosters has three primary objectives:
To encourage and maintain an enthusiastic interest in the music and visual arts department’s programs.
To lend all possible support, both moral and financial, to the music and visual arts programs in the school system, and to provide social and other programs and awards for those students.
To cooperate with the music and visual arts departments, school administration, and school board policies to assist in the development and support of the music and visual arts programs.
