Elizabeth is a fourth-year Economics and Politics double major with a minor in French. She began dancing at the age of 10 and has trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, and other styles. Elizabeth has trained at a variety of summer intensives including the Joffrey Ballet, Ballet Austin, and IU Jacobs School of Music. Her favorite past roles include Cinderella, Odile, and the Sugar Plum Fairy. She can't wait for an incredible year with BalletO!

Carlota is a senior from Spain (A Coruña) studying Economics. She has been part of BalletO since her first semester at Oberlin and joined the board soon after. She loves the inclusive and fun atmosphere around dance at Oberlin and has made the most of it as a member of the Oberlin Dance Company, through classes and performances in the Dance Department (she highly recommends Ballet III!), and working with fellow student choreographers. She can’t wait to meet all the new Ballet Oberlin members this year!

Anais is a third-year Politics major with a minor in Law and Society and a concentration in Global Health. She trained in classical ballet and other disciplines of dance at a pre-professional program where she progressed to the Conservatory Division at age 12. She is honored to have performed in Steps in the Street, which was set on select students by the Martha Graham Trust. Anais attended summer intensives at the Joffrey Ballet, Washington Ballet, and Philadelphia Ballet. During the summer of 2024, Anais taught and assisted with youth ballet classes. She loves BalletO's inclusive and empowering approach to ballet.

Holly is a third-year Politics and Environmental Studies double major. She started dancing ballet when she was 8 years old and also has experience with jazz, modern, and contemporary dance. Holly joined the board last year, primarily teaching beginner ballet, and is so excited to continue. She loves the welcoming, positive, and relaxed atmosphere of Ballet Oberlin. In addition to BalletO, Holly co-leads Sunrise Oberlin, a climate advocacy group on campus. 

Serena is a third year chemistry major minoring in dance and environmental studies. Pre-Oberlin, she trained at the Dance Theatre of Harlem in New York City and worked as a program assistant for the Bolshoi Ballet’s Connecticut-based summer intensive over the summer of 2023. She is excited for a new year with BalletO! 

Madeleine Blandy is a second year biochemistry and dance major at Oberlin College. A lifelong dancer, Madeleine has studied ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, and tap dance. In addition to their position on the BalletO board, Madeleine will be serving as a dance major representative beginning Fall 2025. They are excited to dance into the new year and share their love of ballet with the Oberlin community!
