Welcome Message from our Head of Prep

On behalf of Oakhill School I would like to welcome you to the 10th annual Oakhill Waterfront Chukka Festival. We are delighted to once again be able to host this festival as we welcome 30 teams along with many familiar faces and friends to this event. Thank you, most sincerely, for once again being part of this unique occasion.

One of the definitions of the word festival is that of a ‘celebration’ and it is in this spirit that we have tried to establish a tradition of healthy competition and friendly interaction with one another. It is therefore our goal, this weekend, that we will celebrate good quality water polo, effective teamwork, wonderful sportsmanship and the finest qualities of the game of water polo. If you are lucky enough to achieve success then remember to remain humble in that success and if you suffer defeat to be gracious in that defeat.

We ask that all participants, officials and spectators respect and maintain all Covid protocols in place and to also partake in all associated activities in a responsible manner.

This weekend we celebrate the connections that we have established and the friendships that we have enjoyed through this game. We trust that those friendships will be further enriched and that new friendships will develop during this festival.

Play well, play fair and play for pleasure. We wish you a wonderful weekend and trust that the memories and experiences you have had will far outlast the memories of results achieved.

Yours sincerely,
James Cross
Head of Oakhill Prep

A Message from our Director of Sport

Dear Participants, Coaches, Managers, Parents and Supporters,

As the newly appointed Head of Sport at Oakhill School, it is a privilege for me to take this opportunity to welcome you all to this year's Oakhill Waterfront Chukka Festival.

The festival, now in its 10th year, has certainly proven to be a standout event on the water polo calendar and looked forward to by water polo players from school's across the country. We believe sport is the perfect vehicle to forge relationships and lasting friendships through healthy competitive camaraderie. I would like to encourage every player to make the most of this wonderful opportunity to develop new networks.

To every player taking part, I leave a simple message for you all: "Play hard, play fair and enjoy your experience".

We look forward to welcoming you all at the up-and-coming 10th annual Oakhill Waterfront Chukka Festivals.
