I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and only moved to San Jose three years ago. In Hawaii I was a high school teacher and softball and basketball coach. I also coach softball here at Davis. I love California because I can go to Disneyland whenever I want! There's also always another adventure just waiting around the corner in every direction.
I love all kinds of sports! I love to go to A’s and Giants games, and even the Sharks even though I don’t know what’s going on. I want to learn more about soccer and I want someone to teach me how to speak Spanish! There is only one great tv show, and that is The Office!
Welcome to the 7th grade! Even though starting middle school can be stressful, the Orange Team has awesome activities planned for the year, and Davis is a great place to be. Can’t wait to meet you all!
I’m a bay area boy through and through. I was born in Santa Cruz, raised in San Jose and educated in the Oak Grove School District. I went to Christopher Elementary, Davis Intermediate and Oak Grove High School before earning my Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree at Santa Clara University. I absolutely love sports, supporting most of the Bay Area teams (49ers, Giants, Earthquakes, Sharks), while also being a huge fan of the English Premier League club Arsenal. I’m a big fan of popular culture and I constantly am listening to new music and watching new movies (always taking new suggestions from my students!). I love playing video games, I love being creative with photography and I absolutely love traveling the world.
Most of you have not had proper history in elementary school, so I’m happy to be your introduction to it. I’m a laid back teacher that knows when to be strict, but I treat all of my students with the same respect that I know you’ll have for me. I hope to get to know all of you well throughout this coming school year and push you to understand what it means to study history. Some cool topics we’ll cover this year: The Roman Empire, Feudal Japan, Middle Ages, Maya, Aztecs, Inca and many more. Can’t wait to get to know all of you in the coming year!
I am collector of many things: sports autographs, mismarked copper pennies to name a few. I have almost every fruit tree you can think of in my backyard. Aside from teaching at Davis, I also enjoy referring the basketball games.
My classroom is a space where we respect every person and their differences, where we succeed TOGETHER with focus and hard work, and where we laugh and have fun.
What do you call friends who love math?...... AlgeBROS
Peace, Mr. Sereno
Welcome to 7th grade science! I am Mrs. Foote and I can’t wait to be your teacher. Some of you may have learned some science before and others of you may be first timers, but have no fear, all of you are welcome! I am excited for all of the fun we are going to have together this year. Our class is all about hands on activities, learning while we do, and making sense of the natural world around us. I can’t wait to get to know you all and start on our journey through 7th grade together! If you ever need anything, feel free to reach out!
