- Keep it simple - use one platform consistently for sharing activities/ material and one for online communication
- Cut the learning back to the essentials.
- Plan one learning event through video/ other stimulus and add a couple of activities for follow up
- Set up office hours for students to contact you/ be online
- Give clear instructions about work and contacting you
- Connections and relationships are what matters

This is a great Powerpoint with suggestions for e-tools to help transitioning your face-to-face language teaching into online/ remote teaching. You will find activity suggestions for the different parts of lessons (e.g. lesson starter, activities, closures, assessments etc) and appropriate online tools.
At the end of the Powerpoint you will find a link to further resources in a Google Drive and Pinterest Boards, especially for French and Spanish but they can give inspiration for other languages. There are a couple of lesson plans for the current worldwide pandemic.

This is one possibility to keep track of what work students are doing when split into breakout rooms (Zoom) or work at home. It can easily be adapted to be used when back in the physical classroom.
