Project Title
Rewind: A Musical
What type(s) of collaborators are you seeking?
I am searching for a director and/or dramaturg to help develop future workshops and presentations, specifically a staged workshop during the fall 2026 semester.
Project Description
Sofie is an aspiring writer working at her aunt Angelina’s Manhattan art gallery. On the morning of September 11th, 2001, a woman delivers a large painting to be appraised. The first of the Twin Towers is hit and Sofie blacks out. She wakes up on the floor of the gallery in 1985 and is greeted by her aunt who is suddenly 15 years younger. She wanders outside and meets Jessie Phoenix, the artist of the painting that was being appraised. Fated to kickstart his career, she introduces him to her aunt who agrees to exhibit his work.
Sparks fly between Sofie and Jessie, and she comes to find out that the same woman that brought in his painting to be appraised in 2001 is Jessie’s best friend, Sam Easton. Jessie’s exhibit is a hit, but in the midst of the opening, he becomes separated from Sofie and she is brought back to 2001. In 1985, Sam and Angelina work together to help Jessie leave a final message in the future. Although Jessie never makes it to 2001, Sofie realizes she is meant to tell his story and writes her book about him. Sam helps Sofie promote it, and at her book signing they meet a young man who unequivocally reminds them of Jessie. No matter what happens, they are destined to be together in each life. Like a Phoenix must burn before it can rise from the ashes, 9/11 is the origin of their story as they continue to meet again and again.

Project Title
Atlas, the Lonely Gibbon
What type(s) of collaborators are you seeking?
We are looking for collaborators who are excited to help produce new work. This project will need creative thinking, flexibility, and a willingness to figure things out together. I’m especially interested in working with people who enjoy problem-solving, experimenting, and building something from the ground up in an independent setting.
Director
Stage Manager
Lighting Designer
Sound Designer
Project Description
The play is slated for a late August–early September run in New York, depending on cast and crew availability. The project will be produced independently, with a collaborative, artist-forward process and a strong emphasis on creating work that feels current, intimate, and culturally relevant.
ATLAS, THE LONELY GIBBON is a dark comedic thriller set in the future. Irene, a 28-year-old journalist, has recently had her job downgraded to editing AI -generated articles. Her husband, David, is a cybercrime journalist, a niche that has kept him employed in a dying journalism field. Irene becomes alienated by technologies he introduces into their home for work that possess a sometimes comforting, but creepy and increasingly dangerous presence. Because of David’s job, their apartment is targeted by hackers and their everyday household appliances (all connected to the internet) have been turning on them. This is particularly challenging for Irene, because she now works from home. To cope with her challenging marriage and increasingly threatening space, Irene fixates on a VR show about an isolated ape at a monkey sanctuary. ATLAS, THE LONELY GIBBON explores where we’re heading as a society and the complex benefits and destructive possibilities of a fully wired world.
I’m excited to connect with artists who are interested in contributing creatively to the development and production process.
Project Start Date
