Midnight Rhapsody
I'm seeking
We are looking to cast the two leads, SHEA and ROMAN.
SHEA (22) is an Inquisitor for the “Paranormal Detective Agency” tasked with exorcising an old, horny ghost. She hires Roman to be the unknowing bait in her plan to draw the ghost out. Cunning, offbeat, and unapologetic, she is simply driven by her desire to protect others, and doesn’t have time to decipher your feelings in the process.
ROMAN (22) is a top rated “Rental Boyfriend.” Cocky and self serving, but charming, he's every girl’s fantasy and nightmare wrapped into one. Roman sees the world for what it is, and simply tries to use his gifts to get ahead. That is, until he meets Shea. Ultimately unfulfilled by the social games that make up his life, he's drawn into her abnormal circumstances, and is willing to drop everything to put his people-skills to good use.

MIDNIGHT RHAPSODY is a paranormal comedy short that explores the bonds that tie us even after death when a ghost hunter and rental boyfriend are trapped in a haunted house.

Project Title
The Disposal Class Project
I'm seeking
Clover (female)- Lead - Mid 20s
Finally getting an opportunity to ask her long time crush and neighbor over for a home cooked meal, Clover has to make everything go perfectly. She is very much a go getter and bold, until she has to talk to her crush. Although she is very lucky, which shows in her up-beat personality, she is a magnet for chaos. However, she likes to keep things orderly and sometimes prioritizes appearance over practicality.
During the film, Clover is dragging and "lifting" another person.
Handyman (male)- Supporting - Mid to late 20s
More on the younger side, he hates his job and the people (clients) that come with it. He uses everything to his advantage, getting the most money out of people as he can, calling himself opportunistic. He also does some other shady things on the side. Although he can be a thorn in the side, he does his job well and properly.
There are a few stunts in the film: At the beginning of the film the character slips and falls, they have to play dead throughout the film, they fall mid way through the script, and there are moments when they will be put into a suitcase (the suitcase will be big and will not be closed; they do not have to fit into the suitcase completely). I have contacted a stunt coordinator for this role.
Grey (male)- Supporting - Mid 20s
Grey is everything a cute neighbor should be: charming, easygoing, and polite. He has had some bad dating experiences in the past so he is a little cautious when it comes to his neighbor, Clover. At first he is mostly interested in the free meal, he’s kind of a foodie, but soon after likes Clover’s sweet personality.
Project Description
Clover Winslow, a sweet but clumsy young woman, is thrilled when her charming neighbor Grey agrees to a last-minute dinner date. As she scrambles to prepare, her day takes a chaotic turn when she accidentally kills the pushy handyman that was already working in her apartment. Panicked but determined not to let her budding romance collapse, Clover decides to dispose of the body. Balancing a romantic dinner with the looming threat of discovery, Clover stumbles through increasingly absurd cover-ups as the handyman’s presence refuses to stay hidden. How far will she go to keep a perfect first date from falling apart?
This films is a slapstick, dark comedy for my intermediate narrative class. Filming will take place in November.
