NICOLAS (20s) Male lead—A TORMENTED DANCER HAUNTED BY THE PSYCHOLOGICAL WEIGHT OF HIS FATHER’S RELENTLESS PRESSURE AND THE MEMORY OF NEVER BEING GOOD ENOUGH. HE SEEKS PERFECTION NOT FOR HIS OWN GRATIFICATION, BUT INSTEAD IN PURSUIT TO GAIN HIS FATHER’S LOVE & RESPECT.
TERENCE(50s) Male lead—INTENSE AND AT TIMES COLD-BLOODED. A ONCE CONTEMPORARY DANCER IN HIS YOUNGER YEARS, TURNED TO CHOREOGRAPHY. UNIMPRESSED WITH THE TALENT HE’S INSTRUCTED IN THE PAST, HAS SHAPED HIS ONLY CHILD, NICOLAS INTO HIS NEXT ACHIEVEMENT.

Haunted by muscle memories that have warped his craft, a disciplined dancer attempts to erase his bad tendencies by violently silencing his own body, only to spiral into a surreal journey through his mind where each erased flaw also destroys the beauty, identity, and self that once made him move.

Semi-staged reading of student-written jukebox musical, Rewind: A Musical.
This time bending love story will transport you back to the New York City of 1985 where art and energy collide. Behind the lines of Sofie’s manuscript and Jessie’s painting lie the keys to their destiny. Immerse yourself in the music, the era and the possibilities of what the universe has to offer. This jukebox musical bridges the past and the present with music that never gets old.
The set list includes songs such as Jessie's Girl, Feels Like The First Time, Goodbye Stranger, Telephone Line, and more hits from the 1970's and 1980's.
SYNOPSIS:
Sofie, an aspiring writer working at her aunt’s Manhattan art gallery, encounters a miraculous painting on the morning of September 11th, 2001. When the first Twin Tower is hit, the painting transports her to 1985 where she meets Jessie Phoenix, the painting’s artist. Drawn together by fate, Sofie kickstarts his career with the help of her aunt, whose intuition reveals what the future may hold. When Sofie is unexpectedly pulled forward to 2001, Jessie is left behind. His story survives through Sofie’s book, as their love transcends the test of time.
